We keep our puppies until they are a minimum of 10 weeks old, and our puppies undergo two DHPPL vaccines and follow a deworming schedule every two weeks. At 5 weeks old, they undergo instinct testing on livestock, followed by the completion of the Volhard's Puppy Aptitude test at 7 weeks old.
Puppy matching is a crucial aspect of our process. We assess each puppy based on their drive, test results, and key elements of potential homes, ensuring a successful and happy match.
Ensuring they encounter at least 100 different people during their time with us plays a huge part in the healthy socialization for the future to come. Collaborating with two yoga studios, we offer Yoga with Puppies classes, fostering socialization in a secure environment.
To expose them to diverse experiences, we take them on car rides, visits to friends, other farms, and pet-friendly stores.
Weekly baths and nail trims help our puppies acclimate to grooming practices, including the use of a blow dryer. Raised in a hands-on, in-home environment, our puppies are exposed to various experiences and everyday items. Interaction with our other dogs and cats teaches them proper play behavior, manners, and respect for boundaries. We are grateful for the positive impact our dogs have on shaping the lives of our puppies.
