Our love for dogs has been lifelong, particularly for herding breeds, as we were raised with Border Collies and a BC mix. When we met during college, Josh had a young Australian Shepherd named Wyatt. Already smitten with the breed, we welcomed Piper just a few months into our relationship. Fast forward, and they've become integral members of our family ever since. They joined us in engagement photos, attended our wedding, tagged along for our honeymoon, and have been by our side through every moment since! These dogs are as cherished as our young daughter and reside in our home with us.
The Breeding Dogs of Working Aussies Homestead
Rey
Bonnie Blue Force Awaken By Kelly's Rey DNA-CP CGC TKI JHDs HTADs
In 2020, we welcomed Rey as a potential breeding candidate, and we were enthusiastic about venturing into trialing. At just one year old, we initiated her in professional herding lessons to begin exploring this new endeavor.
Rogue
KKA Slash V Rey's Rebellion
We kept Rogue back, a striking and spunky female, from Rey's first litter born New Years Eve day 2022. All health testing will be completed in early Spring 2025. She has been a great farmers market companion as well as a herding demonstrator at events and reliable chore hand on the homestead.
Ben
Hart II No Such Thing As Luck
This handsome boy came to us from Hart II Australian Shepherds in Texas. We are excited to bring in an old school working bred male into our program and plan to complete all health testing in Spring 2026.
Until then, we plan to train and trial to get a taste of what this boy can do.
Piper
Retired
Piper, our beloved matriarch, is the cornerstone of our breeding program, has contributed to loving homes across the US, producing puppies that serve as family pets, hiking companions, working herders, and a handful of service dogs. Piper actively participates in puppy rearing, demonstrating proper play and nurturing confidence.
Piper remains an integral part of our family, and we aspire to pursue therapy work with her in the future.
