Homeschool Chicken Raising Course *Per Student*

From day-old chick to feeding the family, this course is for homeschoolers who want to be hands on with raising food for the family. Includes weekly visits to ensure proper growth and lessons on animal husbandry followed by hands-on learning during harvest to cover anatomy, and how to prep for a meal. This is primarily an outdoor class taking place no matter the weather. Each student will get to take home a fully dressed bird at the end of the course and each student MUST be present on butchering day to receive the whole chicken.

This class will be held on Wednesdays from 10am-11am or Fridays from 10am-11am depending on the class you choose. Butchering days will be held on corresponding Saturdays from 9am until 1pm with farm fresh lunch provided.
